Overview & Reviews
Other than having some new wheel designs, the IS 300 is unchanged this year.
- Outstanding driving dynamics, slick interior decor, competitive pricing.
- Small rear seat and trunk, not much storage space, styling more suited to baggy-panted masses.

IS300 - 2003 Lexus IS 300
By DJ jr. - May 19 - 2:00 amI knew as soon as I test drove the IS I was going to take it home. Its inline six makes it super quick, and suspension and handling are far better than BMW 3 series and the Infiniti G35. The polished alloy 17s complete the beautiful exterior. As far as the interior, well its just awesome.

IS300 - An Almost Perfect Sport Sedan - 2003 Lexus IS 300
By BigLou - May 14 - 2:00 amComparing the Lexus(vs BMW): Pros RELIABILITY - an friends 325is had problems (transmission and driver seat). My Camry: 10+ years, 150k miles, excellent record "Razor-sharpness" - everything is "sharp." Ride, shifter, clutch - all project a sporting nature Price - almost $10k less. It is easier to deal with Lexus Less ubiquitous - Everybody and his cousin drives a BMW 3 or 5 series. Too "me-too," (except M3 or M5) Better NAV - only one better is on the Acura CL Cons Less prestige - especially in the eyes of girls/non-car-enthusiasts/those fixated on the badge Less power - the 10hp difference (as rated) between the two somehow feel more

Best in Class - 2003 Lexus IS 300
By Jobu - November 30 - 2:00 amI compared this with the BMW 325 and Audi A4 and I liked it the best. It handles at least as well as the others and it wont have the quirky electrical problems the BMW has.

Home-Run - 2003 Lexus IS 300
By 03is - November 21 - 10:07 amReady? Love the car, but since I just recently bought it, Ive had to do some work getting it up to par as the prior owner didnt take great care. However, its a Lexus, so a blind monkey could drive it into a lake and itd be better than anything on the road. A few cosmetic issues inside and out, and 90k service hadnt been done. When something breaks on this car, its costly. But if you take care of it, itll take care of you. I wish they had that mentality! That said, Its a joy to drive. Slightly heavy and a bit sluggish, but with 200+hp, you dont lack for power. Finding low-mileage units is just about impossible, and when you purchase yours, youll see why.

Only sports enthusiasts apply - 2003 Lexus IS 300
By Jeffreaulex - November 14 - 10:00 amI have had the IS for little over a year. I love this bad boy to no end! Its awesome! Everyone is left behind at red lights...anywhere. This car is very powerful for its size. Comfort/size...you wear this car like a glove. Its tight, nimble, powerful, a great car! Styling isnt for everyone, but you MUST give it a test drive. It is truly an enjoyable car. GREAT sound system too!
